The Faculty of Economics at the University of Lampung was established on September 23, 1965, based on Decree No. 195 of the Minister of Higher Education and Science. Subsequently, based on Rector's Decree No. 03/UN26/DT/2011, the Faculty of Economics changed its name to the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Lampung (FEB Unila) on December 30, 2011. This decision was ratified in Regulation No. 72/2014 of the Minister of Education and Culture concerning the Organization and Work Procedures of the University of Lampung.
The Faculty of Economics and Business is the oldest faculty at the University of Lampung. It currently has three departments and twelve study programs accredited with A and Excellent grades by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) and the Independent Accreditation Institute for Economics, Management, Business, and Accounting (LAMEMBA), and internationally accredited by ABEST21 and FIBAA.
The Faculty of Economics and Business is also the first faculty at the University of Lampung to receive ISO 9001-2015 certification from the international quality assurance agency SGS.
The Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Lampung offers various educational programs, including undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma programs. The Faculty of Economics and Business at Unila also offers international class programs for undergraduate programs and distance learning programs for postgraduate programs.
